Board sets standing committee meeting dates for 2026

December 2, 2025 school board meeting
Heather Pelat

As approved and communicated last month, the North Hills School District Board of Education has restructured its committee system, transitioning from a committee-of-the-whole model to a series of standing committees beginning in 2026.

Standing committees are small groups of school board members that focus on specific areas of district operations. Each committee is limited in size, with no more than four school directors, and includes an administrative liaison. Committees are responsible for studying issues, discussing topics within their scope, and making recommendations to the full Board of Education. They do not take official action or act on behalf of the entire board.

All standing committee meetings will follow an established agenda created and posted in BoardDocs. Meetings are open to the public and include a public comment period at the conclusion of each meeting.

All meetings will be held at the North Hills School District Administration Center, located at 135 Sixth Avenue, Ross Township, as outlined below.
